Inspired by the bold vision of the 1942 Beveridge Report, which shaped Britain’s modern welfare state, Clarion Housing Group's first Foresight Group report reimagines the “five giants” for today’s world. Instead of Want, Disease, Ignorance, Squalor and Idleness, Clarion identifies the modern challenges and opportunities shaping the future of social housing.
Under the direction of Daniel Hammersley and produced by ScreenStories, I was called to produce an animated version of the report, using as a basis the wide range of illustrations found in the document. I had to create or expand on exiting assets for sections that required additional artwork, keeping in the style of the original illustrator.
