According to some people I admire, I look something like this.
Raflalo is Raf Aflalo
Raised in the vibrant city of São Paulo, Brazil (with a brief stint in Barcelona) and entered the animation industry through the graphic design door. My early experiences were varied, from working in branding, directing music videos for the local indie scene, founding two tech startups, designing a four-story exhibition dedicated to football’s greatest Pelé, and even owning an online skateboard shop.
Some might label me a generalist, but I prefer to think of myself as curious. My curiosity about learning a bit of each field has allowed me to engage effectively with a variety of professionals, and seeing the whole from of all its sums naturally led me to animation directing.
In London since 2015, I have freelanced for numerous renowned agencies and brands, making pictures move. A lasting relationship with Mummu Studio led to a full-time position, first as Lead Animator and Project Manager, and later as Animation Director. Additionally, I occasionally lecture on animation at the University of the Arts London.
